I was fortunate to be able to partner with Transworld Snowboarding, a legendary snowboard publication, on a trip to Interior British Columbia. My wife and I slept in resort parking lots in the back of our truck for a week and came away with three unique blog posts from the trip. It was a memorable experience and I was pleased to get my work featured on the Transworld Snowboading site.

Dirt Baggin’ the Powder Highway: Feelin’ it in Revelstoke

Vast stretches of wilderness, few gas stations and plenty of bears make the distance between Rossland and Revelstoke feel like the Wild West. Driving onto the inland ferry to cross Upper Arrow Lake, 50km from the nearest gas station, our Dirt Bag Powder Highway trip started to feel more like an adventure. But pulling up to the luxurious Sutton Place Hotel at the base of Revelstoke quickly brought us back to reality.

Dirt Baggin’ the Powder Highway: Caught Inside at Whitewater

The ceiling, the sleeping bags, even inside the coffee mugs…you know it was a cold night when you wake up covered in a layer of frost. If the anticipation of checking out Whitewater wasn’t motivation enough to crawl from the sleeping bag, the thought of firing up the truck for some heat was. Cold, clear and with blue skies overhead, our trip to Whitewater began with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
