TRANQUILITY TENT PRODUCT LAUNCH VIDEO SERIES

This 100% freestanding 6-person tent was built for convenience and livability, and its generous size, strength and creature comforts make the it the ultimate in camping luxury. We drew from our 45 years of camping experience to create our Tranquility tents, and added crucial touch-points such as integrated vestibules, an easy-to-manage rainfly, and set-up that's so simple, just one person can handle it.

In early 2017, Therm-a-Rest launched tents as a new product category. In order to help facilitate this roll out, we were contracted to create a series of videos showing product features and set-up instructions. For this shoot, we created 6 different videos featuring 4 unique products used to create customer awareness and increase product knowledge during the launch of the product. This was a fun project to work on because we spent two nights on location and worked with a great crew.

Designed to provide convenience and livability in a compact package, we drew from our 45 years of camping experience to create our Tranquility tents, making them 100% freestanding with integrated vestibules, an easy-to-manage rainfly, and set-up that's so simple, just one person can handle it.
Learn how to set up the Tranquility 6 tent. The vestibules are completely integrated with the tent body and don't require the rainfly. Thoughtful touchpoints such as the 5-hub pole structure makes set-up quick and easy.
Learn how to set up the free-standing Arrowspace Shelter from Therm-a-Rest. The Arrowspace is a freestanding open-air shelter for outdoor gatherings, and can also connect to the Tranquility 6 tent to create the ultimate basecamp.
Learn how to set up the Tranquility 4 tent. The vestibules are completely integrated with the tent body and don't require the rainfly. Thoughtful touchpoints such as the 5-hub pole structure makes set-up quick and easy.

SPEED VALVE MATTRESS PRODUCT VIDEO SERIES

On this project, I had the chance to work with the team at Therm-a-Rest to create a series of three unique product videos highlighting and launching a revolutionary new air mattress, the Speed Valve product line. Being an authentic outdoor brand, we spent a week on-location in the North Cascades to show their products fitting with each distinct user-type. From the fact we had to hike into our locations and get a chance to experience the terrain these products were meant for, this project is one of my career highlights.

2015 Brand Video 

This was the first time I had the opportunity to work with the team at Therm-a-Rest and the most comprehensive shoot I have directed. Looking to establish a new brand message, we were tasked with creating a fun, light-hearted and authentic vignette showing a group of friends enjoying the outdoors. We shot this video over the course of three days in Leavenworth, WA, visited three unique locations and lucked out on weather the entire time.

A video love letter to the outdoors from Therm-a-Rest: Wake up in the wilderness, cook a big breakfast, and get your gear ready, because the outdoors is as big as your dreams. There are backcountry miles to hike, trails to ride, rocks to climb, friends to hang with, campfires to build, and a good night's sleep to do it all again tomorrow.

More Time to Explore: Backpacking the Olympic National Park Coastline

For this post, I was tasked with helping to create content around the launch of a new marquee product line, the Speed Valve Mattress, specifically the Camper SV Mattress. Looking for subtle product integration and more on the lifestyle angle, this post focused around a backpacking trip my wife and I took.
